To celebrate the franchise’s 40th anniversary, Mondo in partnership with WaterTower Music offers expanded 2XLP editions of the first three films in the series. The first disc features the soundtrack album in its original configuration, with the second disc compiling the rest of the film’s themes and audio cues, many of which have never been released on vinyl.

Charles’s Bernstein’s score to the 1984 horror-classic A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is not only a classic of the genre but also one of the most memorable scores of the 1980s. A mix of creepy synths, off-kilter nursery rhymes and heavy rhythmic percussion filtered with just enough distortion to offer up a real sense of dread.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP was mastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, with production for Mondo by Mo Shafeek and Spencer Hickman, 2024 reissue production by Cameron Dean and Chelsea Taylor, and art direction by Rob Jones.

Pressed on 140 gram vinyl with art and design by Mike Saputo, this double LP includes liner notes by Bernstein himself. So lay back, put your headphones on and remember… don’t fall asleep.
