October. Christmas for weirdos, the Devils Holiday, All Hallows’ Eve. Whatever you call it, it’s the greatest time of the year and we here at the Mausoleum have been looking forward to breaking the ice on our first episode to fall in the month of October. We take this pretty seriously and we hope to give you some sounds to put you in that dark but festive mood.
Horror soundtracks, library cues, radio and television spots take center stage here. Hopefully there’s some of your favorites as well as some that may be new to your ears. We’d like to think you’ll have a blast creeping through genre favorites like “Night of the Demons”and “Return of the Living Dead”. Moody but essential songs from films like “Don’t Go in the House” or “Foxes”. Video Nasty classics like “Mark of the Devil” and “Buio Omega”. Whatever it is you’re craving we hope to satiate the most vile of appetites.
You’ll notice that we just decided to give you mostly music this month as if I had decided to talk about these records I’d probably only be able to play 5 songs because my love for this stuff is deep. It would be nearly impossible for me to cut it short introducing some of them so I’ll just let the music do the talking. Or stalking.
